The name ROCHE might require a brief explanation, and so here it is:

I was trying to come up with an all encompassing name that would allow me to pretty well host anything I like or especially believe would be profitable for the people of God - Christians - and anyone else that found the site. I stumbled upon the letters r-o-c-h-e as I was playing around with letters and words and recognised it as a word.

It reminded me of the first part of La Rochelle, the Huguenot Calvinistic stronghold in France. A little bit of searching discovered the word 'roche' to mean 'rock'. My name apparently is Huguenot in origin, my Calvinistic Protestant ancestors coming over to England during and because of the 17th Century persecutions by the Roman Catholic Church. That definitely had appeal, and so the name ROCHE. I think it's kind of neat.

If you spot any mistakes they are all mine.

The Lord Jesus Christ said: on this rock I will build my Church - that is, on the truth that Christ is the only rock on which we must build.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

He is our hope for this life and for eternity. And so the name ROCHE has at its root a Christ-Centered emphasis. Indeed, this website aims at being Christ-Centered and I trust and pray that it will be so. Amen.

Other Classes - Theology, Apologetics, Culture etc. In fact, anything that doesn't neatly fit the other categories.

Islam - As Christians we should know something about this religion / worldview. Some excellent resources to help.

Sermons - What it says on the tin: examples of preaching that I believe exemplify this supernatural gift of The Lord Jesus Christ to His Church.
